AUSTIN Bradtke officially join Melbourne as a Category B rookie on November 1, 2018.

Austin played representative football as a junior before concentrating on basketball at 15.

Currently standing at 204cm, Bradtke shows the athleticism and competitiveness required to succeed at AFL level.

Bradtke was presented with a number of offers to join rival clubs, but chose Melbourne, after what he described was a difficult decision.

Both Austin's parents were extremely talented sportspeople in their own right. Dad, Mark, was a former MVP basketball player with Melbourne Tigers in the NBL. He also spent time with NBA team Philadelphia 76ers in 1996. Mum, Nicole, was a former professional tennis player, who reached No.24 in the world in women’s singles.
