Welcome Alex Keath to OMP!

#AFL #Cricket

We are very excited to formally introduce Victorian cricketer and talented sportsman Alex Keath to OMP Sports.

The tall all-rounder is currently spending the Australian winter playing club cricket in England for Knowle & Dorridge in the Birmingham & District Premier Cricket League and has had a super season so far, dominating at times with both bat and ball.

Averaging over 65 with the bat and taking 18 wickets at 30.22 with his accurate medium pacers, Alex has showcased his undeniable talent and established himself as one of the stars of the competition.

Alex’s fine season so far was epitomized in a remarkable performance against the Berkswell Cricket Club when the 23 year old blasted 29 fours and 11 sixes on his way to a huge individual total of 246 runs off just 165 balls.

Limited opportunities for the Victorian Bushrangers in recent years have forced Alex to continue his cricket elsewhere and the former U19 Australian representative is excited to be playing for the Prospect Cricket Club in Adelaide for the upcoming summer.

While intent on forging out a career in cricket, Alex has kept his options open and has not ruled out returning to play football – a sport he showed great promise in as a junior. The 196cm prospect was pre-listed as a 17 year old by Gold Coast to be part of their inaugural AFL squad but instead chose cricket and signed with the Bushrangers.

However Alex’s sporting journey pans out we are thrilled to be involved and can’t wait to support him through it.

Welcome to OMP Alex!
