With one round of the AFL Home and Away season remaining both Luke Breust and captain Jarryd Roughead share equal first on the Hawks goal kicking tally. Both players have kicked 33 goals so far with swingman Jack Gunston in third place having kicked 19 goals to date in 2017.

Despite averaging almost 2 goals a game throughout his career, Breust has never taken out Hawthorn’s goal kicking. Both Gunston and Roughead have won the award twice.

It’s Friday night football at Etihad. Hawks for the first time since 2009 will not be participating in September action. Their opposition and reigning premiers are clinging to the hope that if they win tonight and a few other results fall their way they may just sneak into the 8.

It’s Breust V Roughead and Hawthorn V Dogs. Who will take out Hawthorn’s goal kicking award? Will The Dogs overcome adversity like last year and make the 8? Let’s find out!
